AcroYoga Slacktastic weekend...

well, i stepped out of my comfort zone and experienced my first yoga retreat. solo. it was a weekend filled with strangers and sharing. not my two favorite things. but there was also lots of acro yoga, beaches, slacklining and (surprisingly good!) healthy food.

saturday morning began with a little sunrise yoga. beautiful. and freezing. it may be in the 70s and 80s during the day, but at 6am it's in the 40s. and i wasn't wearing socks. bbbrrrrrrrrrr....

my favorite part: acro yoga. it's like if extreme yoga and gymnastics had a baby. perfect.
here we go. cartwheel on!

ps. the guy in the background is in his 50s

 look mom! no hands!

the slacklining part was ridiculously hard. It's a 1" wide piece of nylon suspended between 2 anchors (usually trees). i got to kneeling and standing. one time i was able to take 3 steps...

whoa whoa whoa.... and down. this was a 30 second series..

although the pros still fall too. splat!

life's a beach (for dogs)...

if it weren't for our backyard i think we'd have permanently wet dogs. we've been here 2 weeks and the dogs have gone swimming more days than not. since colin works from home he can walk them down to the river in the morning, then let them dry out in the backyard all day. this weekend i got to join in the fun. we brought them to kings beach on saturday

 happy puppies :)
bacon found a rock to perch on

adventure yoga poser- boat pose!

and hidden beach on sunday... love hidden beach :) there's no parking lot, you just have to pull off the main road and hike down to the water.

so happy, you can't even tell i'm carrying a bag of dog poop!

chewie can be a little greedy with the toys...
there's a dirty joke in there somewhere

they'll follow where ever colin goes

unless of course they have to jump into water. bacon was very concerned when colin disappeared.

our new house...

the before pictures.... aside from a few (very minor) cosmetics- it's perfect. one mile away from my work (and there's a bike path i can take), fenced in backyard, hot tub, big kitchen and open floorplan, 3 huge bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 car garage.... beyond excited!
it's walking distance from just about everything- downtown truckee area, the new brewery, winery, skate park, and in the summer they have farmers markets, concerts and movies playing in the park right at the beginning of our subdivision. and everything is dog friendly :)

backyard for the dogs (this is my favorite part)...
i see many snowy nights in the hot tub
look at all those rocks to climb on
and wood to chew on... dog heaven!

master bedroom on the main floor

master bath...

upstairs guest bedroom or brongiels room???
