our new house...

the before pictures.... aside from a few (very minor) cosmetics- it's perfect. one mile away from my work (and there's a bike path i can take), fenced in backyard, hot tub, big kitchen and open floorplan, 3 huge bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 car garage.... beyond excited!
it's walking distance from just about everything- downtown truckee area, the new brewery, winery, skate park, and in the summer they have farmers markets, concerts and movies playing in the park right at the beginning of our subdivision. and everything is dog friendly :)

backyard for the dogs (this is my favorite part)...
i see many snowy nights in the hot tub
look at all those rocks to climb on
and wood to chew on... dog heaven!

master bedroom on the main floor

master bath...

upstairs guest bedroom or brongiels room???

going & going & going...

maybe it's completing the half marathon, or that i'm over half way through my solo tahoe mission, or simply the fact that the sun is shining and its actually warm out, but i have been full of energy and motivation the past few days. good thing too- i need it with all these little curve balls.
our house is officially on the market and we're moving forward with the short sale :(      my birthday flight home is booked :)      colin is being sent to india the week i get home :(      took at 13 mile bike ride to tahoe city after work today :) aaaaaand that pretty much sums up the past 24 hours.

milestone complete.

san diego rock n roll half marathon was a success! lauren and i finshed in 2:26 and were still able to walk the next day, although going down stairs was a huge challenge. san diego weather was extremely beautiful the whole time we were there. we were pretty exhausted the rest of the weekend, but we still managed to get in some beach time, bike riding on the beach cruisers, shopping, a little sunday funday with jenna followed by lots of eating. lots. 13.1 can really take a lot outta ya! not sure if laurens up for it again, but i'm already thinking about the next half.... hmmm. either way, training is overrated.

now, just one more week with my boss (cathy) before she leaves for europe, one week managing the office without her, then its home to see my family and friends. flight is booked for my birthday trip back home. hooray!
