the perfect day...

happy mothers day, i love you mom! i wish i could be home to spend the day (or week) with you...
first, i would shower you with flowers and a witty card...

 then we'd go running...

you would wear the new lululemon shirt i got for you...purple of course.

cool down with a little yoga... yep. we look like that.

 and before the headaches kick in... coffee and a magazine. preferably enjoyed outside in the sunshine.

followed by a calorie free breakfast of champions.... remember when we actually ate these for breakfast?!

after that, we'd probably need to move around- we don't want to repeat christmas break! 

bike ride to a farmers market (or any other form of retail therapy, as long as we can fit it into our bike baskets) then stop for manicures...

after that i'm sure it's wine time...mmmm

mmmm... perfect day. it makes me smile just thinking about it. love you momala. thank you for being you. miss you! call you tomorrow :)

new job...

over the past few months yoga and running have become my obsession. maybe i am my mothers daughter? it also helped that i started volunteering at my yoga studio (checking people into class in exchange for free yoga) so i really had no excuse not to participate- i mean i was already there. it's been amazing. a couple weeks ago one of the yoga teachers told me lululemon wanted to open a showroom in lake tahoe. if you haven't heard of lululemon, they are an athletic clothing company that specializes in yoga and running gear. they are amazing and expensive and from what i hear, a great company to work for. SO, you can imagine my excitement! i immediately got online and searched for a job posting. found it & applied. 1 phone interview, 1 in person interview, and 10 days later, i have an offer. accepted!
the showroom is scheduled to open august 2. i need to find the location, design the space, and oversee all operations. we will be open thursday, friday, and saturday. the rest of the time i need to be participating in yoga classes, playing an active roll in the community and meeting new people. living the lululemon brand. um, ok!
in the meantime, i am getting sent to san francisco (next week!) and vancouver for training. eeeeeekkk

so, goodbye unemployment. it was fun, but this sounds a little better :)
